Introducing Data Forms

Learn the concepts behind data forms, prebuilt forms and beyond

Updated over a week ago

Data Forms play a crucial role in organizing and managing data, providing a structured format that enhances both accessibility and usability. Kodexa offers three different types of Data Forms: Extracted Data, Workspace Data, Side-by-side Data. Each Data Form functions differently from one another. You can maximize the data form depending on how you want to use the data.

Extracted Data

This directly extracts the data from the document based from the data definition. Kodexa will automatically map the extracted data into a table form. This table form can also be exported as an Excel. This will help you in checking if the initially extracted data is correct. If the extracted data is not correct, the user can always update the labels extracted.

Workspace Data

The Workspace Data is somehow similar to extracted data. It doesn't have an option to download the extracted data. The user can also correct the labeling and update the value as needed. Document Sidecar also displays the current data depending on the selected data.

Side-by-side Data

The Side-by-side data form is especially useful in comparing multiple documents. Example would be comparing a same type of data but from different documents. This can easily show the difference from both documents since the data will be presented in a side-by-side table. The user is also allowed to correct the labeling if Kodexa wasn't able to capture the accurate data. Screenshot below shows the values found for both sample files.
